Yes, I'm back safe and sound but looking a bit like Dracula as I have a burst blood vessel in my eye! Wonder if the flight caused that? Or it could have been due to going over Niagara Falls in a barrelConfused .
We had a fantastic time, it was lovely to see Hannah again and be able to spoil her for a while. We met some of her friends too,and her workmates, she is really enjoying herself there but I miss her more than ever now!
Sorry about the Mounties Kathleen, I kept them all to myself, figured my need was greater than yours.
I managed to get frisked at Toronto airport but it was a woman. Yuk!!Scared
It really was a trip of a lifetime and feels a bit flat now we are home again, so I am counting on you all to cheer me up!

Love Doreen xx

Hi Doreen,

Sorry I have not been on much, my computer was playing up while my Husband was away. I'm so glad you had your holiday in Canada. I see from the post before you were in Toronto, and at Niagara Falls, sounds wonderful. This is a place I have always wanted to visit. I know how you feel about your daughter being away, one of mine has been away for five years now, I still miss her, although she is not as far as Canada.

It's always nice to get away.

Hope you are well.

Lorna xx Smile

Welcome back Doreen. Glad to hear you had such a good time with Hannah. Being frisked is horrible, they always seem to get me at airports.

Thanks all for the welcome home!

Yes Rose we did take lots of photos, I even took my old "film" camera for a last use! ( much to my daughters embarrassment but it's not that old and it;s quite small).
Hannah has gone there for 12 months to travel around and work when she can. She worked for 10 months at the Halifax bank after finishing uni to save up for it! This is a sort of delayed gap year.
She has been working with the City sightseeing company selling tickets for coach tours, being a guide on the Toronto city bus tours etc. Next month she is travelling to America, going to Washington, Baltimor, New York and Boston but she is not allowed to work there, just visit. Then starting in early December she has a job at a ski resort about 2 hours from Totonto. She is not due back until July and will do a bit more travelling before then. She is really enjoying it and making the most of the 12 months over there.
This will be our first Christmas without her and I'm not really looking forward to it but as long as she is happy, so are we. We keep in touch by e-mail and skype regularly and now I have seen where she is I am not as worried about her.
I haven't got the photos onto my computer yet but I will get round to it soon!

Love Doreen xx

Hi Doreen

I just wondered because my youngest son, Joe went to Huddersfield uni and with you living there thought they might have met up if at same uni but Joe is 25 anyway so they wouldn't - are you still with meBlink

Yes I'm still with you Sheila. Who knows, they may have met up. Hannah often came back for Wednesday nights "out on the town" with her friends who were still here. Did Joe enjoy being in Huddersfield?

Doreen xx
